Trevor Cheung

Head of Research (Hong Kong) 

Trevor has over 20 years of experience in equities research and equities capital markets, 14 of which was spent serving as a strategist, head of research and property specialist. Trevor started his career as a property analyst with CLSA in 1993. He then moved on to become Strategist/Head of HK/China Research with Indosuez W.I. Carr from 1999 to 2002. Trevor repeated this role with DBS Vickers from 2003 to 2006. Between 2009 and 2010, he also headed the property research team at BNP Paribas. Through his broad research experience, Trevor has developed a keen appreciation for the macro as well as bottom-up industry factors which drive markets.

Trevor also had a combined 5 years experience in the equities capital market, first with Cazenove Asia between 2006 to 2009, then with BNP Paribas between 2011 to 2012. Through this experience, he has developed direct contacts with many corporates in the Asian markets. Prior to joining the finance industry, Trevor had a 3-year stint as an actuary with AIA. He graduated with a Master of Arts degree from Cambridge University in the UK.

Ng Yeow Tong

Senior Vice President/Senior Analyst

Yeow Tong has more than 10 years of buy-side experience in Asia ex-Japan equities. He was previously CIO at Eastspring Investments Taiwan where he managed an investment team that oversaw $4bn of assets including $1.3bn in equity funds. From 2007-2010, he was a portfolio manager with two Singapore-based hedge funds Fundamental Capital Advisors and ARN Investment Partners whose AUM peaked at $100m and $900m respectively. Earlier, he worked in the US as a investment research analyst at American Century Investment and SIT Investment Associates from 2003-2007.

Prior to his buy-side career, Yeow Tong spent five years as a research analyst at GK-Goh Research (now CIMB Research) and three years as a research analyst at Cazenove Asia covering Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia equities. He obtained his MBA from Stephen M. Ross School of Business at University of Michigan and Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from National University of Singapore. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Duy Nguyen

Vietnam head of research

Duy possesses 10 years of financial market experience with leading reputable financial institutions in Vietnam, spanning buy-side, sell-side, and even private equity and real estate. He joins from Nam Long Investment Corporation, where he was Senior IR and Investment Manager.

Previously, Duy was Investment Manager at Vietnam Holding Asset Management, and Deputy Head of Research at Maybank Kim Eng Securities HCMC. His research focus was in Real Estate, Constructions, Materials, and small caps.

He possesses a Master of Business in Finance from the University of Technology in Sydney, and a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Natural Science in HCMC.

Khoa Nguyen


Khoa has more than 9 years of investment analysis experience in Vietnam. He was a senior analyst at Bao Viet Securities for almost 4 years and before that, was an investment analyst at SGI Capital for more than 2 years. His main areas of research were in properties, construction and commodities.

Khoa has a Bachelor of Economics degree from HCMC Open University. He possesses a Fund Management Certificate from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam. He is also a candidate in the Vietnam – Netherlands Program for MA in Development Economics at HCMC University of Economics. He is fluent in Vietnamese and English.

Trien Le


Trien was a research analyst at Viet Dragon Securities for close to 2 years after graduation. His area of research was in paper packaging, natural rubber, tire and dairy industry. He has a good network of contacts with the senior management of the companies within his area of coverage.

Trien obtained a Master of Corporate Finance from the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City in 2015. Prior to that, he spent 4 years at the Foreign Trade University majoring in International Finance for his Bachelor of Banking and Finance degree in 2014. Trien is Vietnamese, and speaks and writes English fluently.
